However, the theme that is present throughout all of these images is the importance of symbolism. Symbols are an integral part of our culture, transcending through time and civilization. These symbols are seen as archetypes that unite us all.

The technique for each image is individualized. Each piece of textile art begins as a blank natural fiber: paper, silk or cotton. Then it is dyed, torn, painted, screen printed or sewn with these various symbols and images.
